Our Ambassadors, House Leaders and Student Councillors attending the National Young Leaders Day this term. They had some fantastic motivational talks from great New Zealanders from different walks of life sharing their story and leadership journey. For example: Hana Tapiata, Christian Gallen, Ronnie Taulafo, and Dr Lehan Stemmet. ‘Kings’ also performed for the children.
Hana Tapiata
Hana taught me that leaders need to talk to be able to grow. We all have lots of voices in ours heads and we need to think about what we are thinking. Make sure the voice inside your head is a positive one and one worth listening to because the food of leaders is conversations. By Caden

Grace - Christian inspired me when he talked about young leaders should not only think about themselves, but they should think about others too. The quote of his I really liked was “In every we there is a me but in every me there is not a we”. He really inspired me to think about other people as well as myself. By Grace

This means that leaders need to be seen to be making good choices and standing up for what is right. If they don’t do this, they will be noticed, and if they do, they will be appreciated. By Mila
